7:30pm Saturday 29th September

Bring your flags and whistles as Bournemouth Concert Brass present their annual Last Night of the Proms concert at The Mowlem Theatre Swanage on Saturday 29th September.

Bournemouth Concert Brass (BCB) are a brass band with a local history going back over 100 years incorporating various titles involving "Boscombe Silver" and "Boscombe Temperance". The band settled into it's current brand in 1975.  All the players are amateur musicians who freely give of their time and talent.  The band is able to maintain it's momentum in developing a high level of performance by entering competitions and performing in concerts.
BCB consolidated their position as one of the South’s premier brass bands when recently they took part in the West of England regional contest where they won the 1st Section gaining promotion to the Championship section. This means they are invited take part in the National Championships held in Cheltenham, just before they bring their annual 'Last night of the Proms' concert to the Mowlem Theatre.

The band has an extensive repertoire of music which includes traditional marches and hymn tune arrangements, music from the classical world, film, show and pop music arrangements and a collection of fine instrumental solo arrangements to allow our principal players to shine.

For this concert they will be featuring Fantasia on British Sea Songs, Jerusalem and of course finishing with Land of Hope and Glory, plus much more. Be prepared to be in good voice and join us for this much loved concert. Bring your flags and whistles, and you vocal chords! to join in this most patriotic event.
